Cooma Public School has an excellent location in the centre of town close to the CBD. We have a proud history of providing quality education to the Monaro since 1863.
Our emphasis is on Literacy, Numeracy and innovative pedagogy, and we promote a varied curriculum with excellence in sporting achievement and creative pursuits. Our public speaking program is a particular strength.
The school is recognised in the District as a school of excellence in Information and Communication Technology. We have wireless network, a state of the art computer lab and interactive whiteboards in all classrooms.
The school also has strong support structures for students with intellectual and physical disablities and is fully ramped for wheelchairs.
Parent participation in learning and management is encouraged. We have an active P&C which meets on the second Tuesday of the month. We love to have parent participation in the classroom.
